Welcome to abstractboy.org.uk Hello, I am Robbie de Santos. I've been going to gigs religously since I was 13, tirelessly pursuing new bands and patiently following the careers of the ones I already love all the while. I love to share my passions and experiences with others. This website I have run a photo website of some sort since 2003. It started off when I bought my first digital camera and I managed to get some blurry shots of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Four different digital cameras, a few different designs, five years and more than two hundred gigs later and I'm still going. I like to write too, which is why there is a link to my blog on every page. It's not the kind of blog I update every day; it once was, but a grown up job with lots of writing means that conjouring up a blog every evening is sometimes tricky. But I do update every now and then, so do keep checking! It also happens that I love cities, adventures, travelling, foreign foods, languages, wines, beers, customs, nuances. Any money that I have left goes towards a sneaky weekend here, a month there, a year somewhere else. I've lived about half my life in London, half in Edinburgh, a year in Berlin and a month in New York. I have plenty of flighty foreign ambitions and hope to experience everyday life in a few more places. You can find photos of my adventures in the cities photos section. My photos and writings have been published in various places, including Wears the Trousers, the London Evening Standard, NME, the Pipettes' Austrian tour posters, Fuck! magzine, Varsity magazine, Chicks on Speed records website, and many more places I can't remember. If you would like to use one of my photos or get me to write something, please get in touch. Enjoy the site!
Robbie
